Position Summary The Class C Delivery Driver is responsible for operating a 15-foot box truck and safely transporting company products to customer locations throughout Southern California. This position delivers products to restaurants and other customer locations while ensuring accurate, timely, and safe deliveries. The successful candidate will load and unload products, collect Cash on Delivery (COD) payments, complete delivery documentation, and provide exceptional customer service. This role requires frequent long-distance driving, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment while complying with all company policies, safety standards, and Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) regulations. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Safely operate a 15-foot box truck in compliance with federal, state, and local traffic laws and regulations. Perform local and long-distance delivery routes as assigned. Deliver products to restaurants and other customer locations throughout Southern California, including Santa Barbara, San Diego, and surrounding areas. Load and unload products while ensuring proper handling and secure transportation. Collect and process Cash on Delivery (COD) payments in accordance with company procedures. Verify customer orders and ensure accurate delivery of products. Complete invoices, delivery receipts, manifests, and other required documentation accurately and timely. Maintain accurate delivery and route records. Verify product quantities and inspect shipments before departure and upon delivery. Provide professional and courteous customer service during deliveries and pickups. Assist with warehouse operations and material handling activities as needed. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and promptly report maintenance or safety concerns. Maintain the assigned vehicle in a clean, safe, and orderly condition. Follow all company policies, safety procedures, and food safety requirements. Demonstrate safe work practices and maintain a professional appearance and attitude at all times. Perform other duties as assigned in support of transportation and warehouse operations. Required Qualifications Valid California Class C Driver's License with an acceptable driving record. High School Diploma or GED preferred. Minimum one (1) year of delivery driving experience preferred. Experience operating a 15-foot box truck preferred. Ability to safely operate light-duty commercial vehicles. Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English. Basic math skills for invoice verification and COD collections. Strong organizational and time management skills. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Ability to manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment. Strong commitment to safety, customer service, and reliability. Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug screening. Physical Requirements Ability to frequently lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds. Ability to load and unload products throughout the workday. Ability to sit and drive for extended periods. Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, reach, and climb as needed. Ability to work in varying weather and environmental conditions. Working Conditions Frequent travel throughout Southern California, including occasional long-distance routes. Regular exposure to warehouse, customer, and outdoor environments. Ability to work overtime, weekends, and flexible schedules as business needs require. Preferred Qualifications Previous experience in food distribution, transportation, or warehouse operations. Commercial delivery experience with a strong safety record. Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
