Yes Overview:
The responsibility of the Solar System Delivery Technician at SolarSet is to deliver solar systems to dealers and end users, and to coordinate and perform the related services when required, such as anchoring, etc. Delivery and anchoring services are generally only offered in Colorado and the surrounding states, but occasionally are offered long distance as well. Primary Functions of thisPosition:
- Schedule deliveries of solar systems with the relevant customers, dealers and team members.
- Perform deliveries to customer's site
- Coordinate additional services when required (i.e. crane services, equipment rentals, etc.)
- Perform anchoring services on customer's site and follow Quality Control procedures and reporting.
- Manage the organization and cleanliness of the solar system staging area.
- Maintain and repair delivery vehicles and equipment.
- Ensure inventory of components used for delivery & anchoring are kept accurate and up to date.
Requirements:
- Be willing and able to autonomously make difficult judgment calls regarding technical, economic and safety challenges
- Be able to work hard, fast and efficiently while staying safe.
- Be willing to travel and occasionally be gone for several days at a time.
- Have basic mechanical and electrical knowledge
- Have a CDL (If applicant does not currently have a CDL, SolarSet will consider applicants that are willing to obtain a CDL within 6 months of accepting the Solar System Delivery Technician position.
Other Responsibilities:
The primary functions and requirements listed above are the minimum requirement of the Solar System Delivery Technician and not all inclusive to what may be required. At times assistance will be needed in other departments. SolarSet is a small company and requires each of its employees to move around and assist where needed. Every employee must be flexible and able to accept tasks that are not on his or her job description. These requirements are generally short term and temporary, but occasionally extend to longer periods in the case of an extended market down turn, position vacancy, cross training, etc.Optional Valued Skills:
Although the following skills , they will be valued and utilized in the Solar System Delivery Technician position:- Have basic computer skills
- Have good personal relations skills and be skilled at customer service/communication
Compensation & Benefits:
- Base wage of $18 to $26 per hour, based on experience, PLUS
- Standard benefits package, including: o Company assisted health insurance (60 + day waiting period to enroll) including dental & vision.
