Duties Safely operate a box truck or van, adhering to all DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and safe lifting practices. Load and unload packages using manual handling techniques, pallet jacks, or forklifts as needed, ensuring proper weight distribution and safety. Plan and follow efficient delivery routes, maintaining punctuality and professionalism throughout each run. Interact courteously with customers during deliveries, providing excellent customer service and addressing any questions or concerns professionally. Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after shifts to ensure compliance with safety standards and report any maintenance issues promptly. Maintain accurate delivery logs, route documentation, and delivery confirmation records. Follow all safety protocols related to heavy lifting, manual handling, and weight handling in the workplace to prevent injuries. Skills Previous warehouse experience or familiarity with logistics operations is highly advantageous. Proven commercial driving experience with a valid driver's license suitable for box trucks or similar vehicles. Knowledge of DOT regulations, heavy lifting techniques, and safe lifting practices is preferred. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally. Ability to handle physical tasks such as moving packages . Familiarity with route driving, load & unload procedures, and moving goods efficiently within a distribution environment.
