Duties Safely operate various delivery vehicles, including box trucks and personal vehicles, adhering strictly to traffic regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) requirements Load and unload furniture using manual handling techniques and material handling equipment such as pallet jacks, ensuring safe lifting practices at all times Plan efficient delivery routes using mobile devices to optimize time and fuel consumption Assist customers with the placement and setup of furniture in their homes or businesses, providing excellent customer service throughout the process Conduct routine vehicle inspections, maintain accurate delivery documentation, and report any issues promptly Follow safety protocols during manual handling, heavy lifting, moving furniture, and operating material handling equipment Communicate effectively with dispatch teams to coordinate deliveries and updates on route progress Experience Prior warehouse experience or experience in commercial driving is highly preferred Proven delivery driver experience with a strong understanding of route driving and load & unload procedures Familiarity with operating box trucks, vans, or similar commercial vehicles with manual transmissions Knowledge of warehouse operations, material handling equipment operation (such as pallet jacks), and heavy lifting techniques Experience adhering to traffic laws, DOT regulations, and safe lifting practices in a workplace setting Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally during deliveries Ability to handle physical tasks involving manual handling equipment, moving heavy items safely, and managing weight handling in the workplace Join us as a Furniture Delivery Driver and become an essential part of our team dedicated to delivering quality service with energy and professionalism!
