Job Description
Nashville Logistics, LLC is looking for a dependable Part-Time Fill-In CDL Driver in the Orlando, Florida and Lakeland, Florida area.
PLEASE NOTE
This is NOT a full-time driving position and does not offer a guaranteed number of runs each week. This position is specifically intended for someone looking for flexible, occasional part-time work. This could be a great fit for a retired or semi-retired CDL driver, someone who only wants to work a few days here and there, or a driver looking to earn additional income without committing to a full-time schedule. If you are currently looking for a full-time driving position or need a guaranteed weekly schedule/income, we strongly encourage you not to apply for this particular position. About the Position Our fill-in drivers help cover routes throughout the Orlando/Lakeland area when our regular drivers are unavailable due to vacations, call-outs, schedule changes, or additional route needs. The number of available runs will vary from week to week. Some weeks may have multiple opportunities available, while other weeks may have little work. Drivers will be contacted as routes become available and can accept available work based on their availability.This Position Is Ideal For Someone Who:
- Is specifically looking for part-time, flexible CDL work
- Is retired or semi-retired and would like to pick up occasional runs
- Wants to earn extra money without committing to a full-time schedule
- Has flexibility to cover routes when needed
- Is dependable and communicates well
- Understands that weekly hours and runs are not guaranteed
- Is comfortable driving regional routes throughout Central and North Florida Responsibilities
- Safely operate a commercial motor vehicle on assigned routes
- Cover routes for vacations, call-outs, and other scheduling needs
- Complete required pre-trip and post-trip inspections
- Maintain communication with dispatch/management
- Follow all DOT, FMCSA, and company safety requirements
- Maintain professional and dependable service for our customers
- Keep assigned equipment clean and report maintenance concerns promptly Qualifications
- Valid CDL
- Clean and acceptable driving record
- Current DOT medical card
- Ability to meet all DOT and company qualification requirements
- Dependable transportation to the assigned truck/location
- Ability to work independently and communicate effectively
- Flexibility to accept occasional routes as they become available Schedule Part-time / Fill-in / As Needed There is no guaranteed weekly schedule or minimum number of runs.
