Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and dependable Freelance Contract Delivery Driver to join our dynamic delivery team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely transporting goods to various destinations, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries. This position offers flexibility, allowing you to work independently while maintaining high standards of customer service. Responsibilities Safely operate box trucks and other commercial vehicles, including manual transmission models, to complete delivery routes. Load and unload packages using equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts when necessary, ensuring items are secured properly for transit. Navigate route driving efficiently, adhering to traffic laws and safety regulations to meet delivery schedules. Provide exceptional customer service by interacting professionally with clients during deliveries and addressing any questions or concerns. Conduct pre-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety standards are met before each shift. Maintain accurate delivery logs, route documentation, and completion records throughout the day. Assist with warehouse tasks such as moving inventory and organizing shipments when required. Qualifications Proven experience as a delivery driver or courier, preferably with box trucks or similar commercial vehicles. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; experience with manual transmission is a plus. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally. Ability to lift heavy items safely, perform heavy lifting tasks, and handle moving equipment like pallet jacks or forklifts if certified. Warehouse experience is advantageous for understanding loading/unloading procedures. Knowledge of route planning and navigation tools; familiarity with load & unload procedures. Prior experience operating commercial vehicles such as box trucks or similar is highly desirable.
