Responsibilities Safely operate commercial vehicles, including trucks and automobiles, adhering strictly to DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and safe lifting practices. Plan and follow efficient delivery routes, ensuring timely arrivals at each destination. Load and unload merchandise with proper techniques, including heavy lifting and merchandising tasks. Communicate clearly with clients to confirm delivery details, answer questions, and build positive relationships. Upsell additional products or services when appropriate, enhancing customer satisfaction and sales opportunities. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, route logs, and client interactions for organizational purposes. Follow all safety protocols during driving, loading, unloading, and customer interactions to ensure a secure working environment. Experience Prior experience in commercial driving or automobile transportation is highly preferred. Retail store experience or familiarity with merchandising enhances your ability to manage product presentation during deliveries. Strong math skills for pricing calculations, basic accounting tasks, and route planning. Excellent communication skills for client relationship building and effective team collaboration. Knowledge of DOT regulations, heavy lifting techniques, and safe lifting practices is essential. Proven organizational skills to manage routes efficiently and handle multiple deliveries seamlessly. Experience in sales or upselling can be a valuable asset in maximizing customer satisfaction and revenue growth.
