Responsibilities Safely operate various types of vehicles including commercial trucks and automobiles to deliver goods across designated routes. Follow all DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations to ensure compliance and safety during every delivery. Manage delivery schedules efficiently by planning optimal routes and adjusting as needed for traffic or weather conditions. Interact professionally with customers to confirm deliveries, answer questions, and build strong client relationships. Handle heavy lifting with proper safety techniques to load and unload merchandise at retail stores or customer locations. Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after shifts to maintain safety standards and report any issues promptly. Assist with merchandising tasks such as organizing products in delivery vehicles and ensuring accurate order fulfillment. Upsell additional products or services when appropriate to enhance customer satisfaction and sales goals. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, route logs, and client communications for organizational efficiency. Requirements Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; experience in commercial truck driving is highly preferred. Strong knowledge of route driving, traffic laws, and safe lifting practices for heavy items. Basic math skills for calculating pricing, measurements, and inventory counts. Proven ability to communicate clearly with clients and team members in a professional manner. Experience in retail store environments or merchandising is a plus. Familiarity with DOT regulations governing commercial vehicle operation. Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple deliveries efficiently throughout the day. Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including heavy lifting while maintaining safety standards.
