Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a reliable and motivated Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods to various locations while ensuring timely and safe delivery. This role requires excellent driving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle heavy lifting. The Delivery Driver will operate different types of vehicles, including box trucks and vans, while adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations. Responsibilities Safely operate a box truck or van to deliver products to designated locations. Follow assigned routes and schedules for timely deliveries. Load and unload goods, utilizing equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts as necessary. Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure safety and efficiency. Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation of goods transported. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery status and any issues that may arise. Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and safety regulations while on the road. Qualifications Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. DOT physical required. Experience in route driving or courier services is preferred. Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles is a plus. Strong physical stamina for heavy lifting (up to 100 pounds) and moving items as needed. Familiarity with using a pallet jack and forklift is advantageous. Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively. Strong communication skills for interacting with customers and team members.
