Position Overview We are seeking a reliable and customer-focused Delivery Driver to handle local daily routes throughout Chicago and surrounding suburbs. This position involves operating a box truck and completing tailgate deliveries to customer locations. All routes are local — home daily, no overnights . Delivery schedules vary day-to-day based on customer needs. Key Responsibilities Perform daily vehicle safety inspections before operation Safely operate a box truck on local delivery routes Load delivery truck at our warehouse Meet delivery deadlines and following assigned delivery routes efficiently and safely Navigate routes while complying with all traffic laws and local ordinances Communicate with Delivery Coordinator regarding route status Verify delivery contents against shipping paperwork Obtain customer signatures for proof of delivery Provide professional, courteous customer service Maintain cleanliness and organization of truck Manage fuel card and delivery-related receipts Use company-issued phone for communication and updates Coordinate basic vehicle maintenance with management Assist with general warehouse duties during non-delivery hours Other duties as assigned Requirements High school diploma or equivalent Valid Class C driver's license (CDL preferred but not required) Ability to pass DOT physical and maintain certification Previous delivery driving experience preferred (Chicago area a plus) Comfortable driving in city traffic and suburban routes Ability to lift and move materials up to 150 lbs Experience using equipment such as pallet jacks, dollies, and carts Strong time management and communication skills Willingness to work flexible hours and occasional overtime Schedule & Work Conditions Full-time position with varying start/end times based on delivery schedule Occasional early morning starts (before 6:00 AM) Overtime may be required based on business needs Work performed in varying weather and temperature conditions Benefits Competitive hourly pay: $25-$30/hour Medical insurance Paid time off 401(k) with company match
