Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods to various locations while ensuring excellent customer service. This role requires a strong commitment to safety and efficiency, as well as the ability to handle heavy lifting and operate delivery vehicles, including box trucks. Duties Safely operate delivery vehicles, including box trucks, while adhering to all traffic laws and company policies. Load and unload goods from the vehicle, ensuring items are secured and protected during transit. Plan and follow efficient routes for timely deliveries, utilizing GPS or maps as necessary. Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with clients during deliveries. Conduct routine inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition and report any maintenance issues promptly. Assist in warehouse duties when not on delivery routes, including inventory management and organization. Requirements Proven experience as a Delivery Driver or in a similar role is preferred. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients. Experience operating commercial vehicles, especially box trucks. Ability to perform heavy lifting and moving of goods (up to 50 pounds). Knowledge of warehouse operations and equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks is advantageous. A valid driver's license with a clean driving record is required. Familiarity with route driving and logistics management is beneficial.
