Job Description

The City of Frankfort is seeking a part-time Transit Driver to join our team at our new facility. Under general supervision, this position operates a City passenger vehicle following designated routes, time schedules, or demand-response ADA routing while ensuring passenger safety.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Driving buses within City limits and occasionally transporting passengers on special tours.
  • Ensuring the safe and clean operating condition of the vehicle, checking key components daily, and reporting maintenance issues.
  • Promptly reporting accidents, unusual activities, or complaints to supervisors.
  • Collecting tickets, recording passenger counts, and maintaining accurate activity logs.
  • Observing all speed limits, traffic laws, and safety regulations.
Position Details:
  • 80100 hours per month (approximately 20 hours per week).
  • Hours vary between 6:00 AM6:45 PM Monday through Friday, and 8:15 AM3:45 PM on Saturdays.
Saturdays and some holidays are expected.
