This position is responsible for safely transporting and delivering inventory to customers while representing our company in a professional manner. The ideal candidate is reliable, organized, physically capable, customer-focused, and comfortable driving extended routes. You will be responsible for protecting company inventory, operating vehicles safely, completing deliveries accurately, and providing excellent customer service. Responsibilities Safely operate company commercial vehicles along assigned routes while complying with all applicable traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies. Load, secure, transport, unload, and merchandise products safely and accurately. Perform frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, bending, standing, and other physical activities required for delivery and unloading. Verify products, quantities, invoices, pricing, and customer orders for accuracy. Use basic math skills to verify invoices, calculate pricing adjustments, and identify discrepancies. Obtain required delivery signatures and maintain accurate delivery records and documentation. Communicate with dispatch regarding route progress, delays, traffic, vehicle issues, customer concerns, or special instructions. Maintain a clean, organized, and professional delivery vehicle and report maintenance or safety concerns promptly. Provide professional, courteous customer service at every delivery. Answer customer questions and promptly communicate concerns or discrepancies to management. Properly place and merchandise products at customer locations when required. Identify legitimate opportunities to recommend additional products or services to customers. Protect company property, inventory, vehicles, equipment, and customer merchandise. Follow all company safety procedures and immediately report accidents, injuries, damaged merchandise, missing inventory, or other incidents. Adapt to changing routes, schedules, customer locations, and delivery requirements. Work independently while maintaining effective communication with dispatch and management. Maintain a professional appearance and attitude when representing the company. Perform other delivery-related duties as assigned. Driver Requirements Valid driver's license appropriate for the vehicle(s) being operated. Clean and acceptable driving record. Must meet all company and insurance requirements for authorized drivers. Must be able to legally operate company vehicles. Must comply with all applicable federal, state, and local commercial driving requirements. Must immediately report any driver's license suspension, restriction, citation, accident, or other event that could affect eligibility to drive for the company. Previous commercial delivery or route-driving experience preferred. CDL experience/license preferred or required when applicable to the vehicle being operated. Physical Requirements This position requires regular physical activity. The successful candidate must be able to safely perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, including: Frequently lift and carry merchandise. Load and unload delivery vehicles. Move products using appropriate equipment and safe lifting techniques. Stand, walk, bend, reach, push, pull, and climb as necessary during deliveries. Work indoors and outdoors and in varying weather conditions. Safely handle merchandise and delivery equipment. Schedule & Travel Routes may include Dallas, Arkansas, East Texas, and Louisiana . Regional and extended-distance driving may be required. Overnight stays may be required depending on the assigned route. Must be flexible and willing to work varying routes and schedules based on business needs. Must be dependable and punctual, with the ability to meet established delivery schedules. Qualifications Previous commercial driving or delivery experience preferred. Clean driving record and acceptable driving history. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Basic to strong math skills for invoices, pricing, quantities, and billing verification. Excellent communication and customer-service skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Ability to safely perform the physical requirements of the position. Professional, personable, dependable, and positive attitude.
