A Sales Delivery Driver drives a truck or other vehicle over established routes or within an established territory and sells or delivers goods, such as food products, including restaurant take-out items, or pick up or deliver items such as commercial laundry. May also take orders, collect payment, or stock merchandise at point of delivery. Includes newspaper delivery drivers. Excludes gig economy drivers.
Privateer Rum is an award-winning craft distillery based in Ipswich, Massachusetts, dedicated to producing world-class New England rum with integrity, transparency, and care. We take pride in every step of our process—from fermentation and distillation to aging and delivery—and we're looking for a dependable Delivery Driver to help bring our products to customers throughout Massachusetts.
Position Overview:
Privateer Rum is seeking a reliable, professional, and customer-focused Delivery Driver to join our team. This position is responsible for delivering products to retail and on-premise accounts across Massachusetts while serving as a positive ambassador for the Privateer brand. Deliveries are typically scheduled Tuesday through Friday, with a flexible part-time schedule based on weekly delivery needs.
Responsibilities:
Safely load, transport, and deliver Privateer Rum products to accounts throughout Massachusetts. Verify orders prior to departure and ensure accurate deliveries. Maintain delivery records, invoices, and collect required signatures. Provide exceptional customer service and maintain positive relationships with customers. Communicate effectively with the distillery team regarding delivery schedules, route updates, and customer feedback. Follow all company policies and Massachusetts regulations related to the transportation and delivery of alcoholic beverages. Assist with warehouse, packaging, or distillery operations when delivery schedules permit.
Qualifications:
Must be at least 21 years of age. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Reliable personal vehicle suitable for transporting product (small SUV, cargo van, pickup truck, or similar vehicle preferred). Proof of current vehicle insurance. Ability to lift and carry cases weighing up to 50 pounds. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Professional, dependable, and self-motivated. Previous delivery, logistics, warehouse, or customer service experience is preferred but not required.
Compensation & Benefits:
