Job Description
Overview Join our popular mobile food business, where you can supplement your income with hours that work around your schedule. We need someone that can take the burden off the owner as we expand. Some weeks it may only be 8 hours in the day or evening and others it may be 30 or more, particularly in the Fall. In this role you will be responsible for safely moving our mobile food unit (23' trailer), managing food safety standards, and providing outstanding customer service. If you have a good driving record and can back up a big trailer into tight spots and love to grill meat, then I've got a deal for you! You'll be supported by 1 or 2 other experienced food handlers that will walk you through the setup, serving, and closing procedures. Responsibilities Safely operate the food truck and get it into place Load, unload, and secure supplies Prepare and grill sausages, ensuring quality and consistency in every order Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the food truck interior and exterior, following health regulations at all times Interact with customers in a friendly, professional manner, providing excellent customer service during pickup or delivery moments Conduct routine vehicle inspections to ensure safe operation, including checking weight limits, tire pressure, lights, and other essential components Requirements Ability to turn up on time to our location in Rockville MD (no tolerance for late-shows) Proven experience in driving a truck and trailer combo Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; experience with commercial truck driving is highly desirable (CDL is not required) Enjoy using a grill on a hot afternoon Legal US work authorization (US Citizenship is preferred as we frequent US Govt facilities) Absolutely no use of alcohol or drugs preceding or during a food event (zero tolerance).
