Jefferson Key Responsibilities & Duties:
Greet and load retail customers and verify they are getting what they paid for while exhibiting exceptional customer service as needed. Initial the invoice once product is verified and loaded. Responsible for all products loaded for delivery. Ensure correct product and quantities have been loaded prior to having load checked at the store. Ensure vehicle is fueled, inspected (proper form needs to be filled out and handed in prior to fueling), and truck body and cab are clean of debris. Fill out drivers log accurately and completely. Communicate mechanical issues to Dispatcher/Retail Store Manager. Verify with Dispatcher that the customer is called prior to leaving to ensure delivery address and product being delivered is accurate. If order is COD, make sure customer is available to pay or adequate arrangements have been made. Pick retail delivery orders as needed at the request of the Dispatcher. Knowledge of and adherence to any local, state, or Federal laws governing the vehicle being operated. Make sure MDOT regulations are followed. Make sure to represent NC Hunt courteously and professional while traveling. Unload material in a manner consistent with preventing damage and abide by safe work practices. Dispose of bottles and cans in the proper location in the warehouse and in the store. Place returns in the proper location, complete paperwork and verify the return with the Dispatcher. Check that all material is loaded securely and will not become a hazard while driving. Return keys to their appropriate location at the end of your shift. No engine idling more than two minutes, shut engine off if necessary. Be aware, knowledgeable and comply with al Company safety rules and regulations. Must wear all PPE as required while punched in Any accident or personal injury must be reported to the Dispatcher immediately. No texting in compliance with state laws. Make calls with Bluetooth only unless parked in a safe location.
