The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently while adhering to all traffic laws and company policies. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, punctuality, and customer service, ensuring that deliveries are made on time and in excellent condition. Responsibilities Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage during transit Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations Communicate effectively with production staff and customers regarding delivery status and any potential delays Ensure accuracy of orders Create invoices Supervise assistant picker in summer months Stock retail pint freezer at production facility Organize freshly-made ice cream daily Clean the loading and break areas weekly Clean and defrost the truck regularly Collect tubs and supplies for transport back to production Spend time in cold/freezing environment (cold gear provided) Update freezer inventory weekly Accept deliveries to loading area and restock Able to well represent Blank Slate Creamery with wholesale customers Hours M-F 7am - 3:30pm Qualifications Excellent driving record Proven experience as a Truck Driver or in a similar role is preferred Familiarity with warehouse operations and delivery driving practices Strong physical stamina for heavy lifting Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines Valid driver's license with a clean driving record Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety protocols Hi-Lo certification a plus Excellent time management skills Must pass background check and be able to be insured by our insurance company No CDL required Physical Requirements Ability to lift 15-30 lbs repeatedly throughout the day Compensation $18.50/hr plus production tip pool 40 hrs vacation time Sick time Retirement matching up to 3% Healthcare stipend
