Job Description

Deliver Driver We are seeking a skilled, reliable delivery driver with a CDL- A to join our growing company. In this position, you will be responsible for delivery of various construction equipment or materials to various job sites assisting project managers and contractors to move construction projects forward. To succeed in this role, you need to be dependable, demonstrate a strong work ethic, and possess meticulous attention to detail. (Multi-family, New Construction, Commercial Projects)
Delivery Driver Primary Responsibilities:
Prepare orders/equipment for delivery Drive trucks and deliver equipment/materials to construction sites Reports vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations, or damage Maintains logs and other documentation, as required Follows delivery instructions accordingly Checks condition of trailers and equipment, reporting any issues immediately Secures cargo for transport, using provided and required equipment Follows appropriate safety procedures for transporting goods Performs basic vehicle maintenance tasks, including emergency roadside repairs Must have basic construction materials/tools knowledge Load and unload trucks Repair and maintain tools and equipment Perform basic computer functions Other duties as assigned Delivery Driver Requirements Current and valid Class A CDL Ability to stand, bend, squat and lift up to 50+ pounds Positive attitude and work ethic Ability to work independently or as an active member of the team Two (2) years of applicable experience delivering equipment Basic computer knowledge of Microsoft 365 including Word, Excel and Outlook Requires a good driving record and must comply with DOT and other applicable requirements Most of the projects that are performed by NHI Commercial are directly related to multi-family housing. This means that in many cases, projects are performed within occupied units and communities, and it is the expectation of NHI Commercial that all employees act with a high level of professionalism Pay range: $20 - $25 per hour based on experience
