Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting cremation cases safely and efficiently to various locations while ensuring excellent customer service. This role requires a strong attention to detail, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to handle heavy lifting as part of daily operations. Responsibilities Safely operate delivery vehicles to transport products to designated locations. Load and unload items, ensuring proper handling and care during transit. Conduct pre-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations. Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation of shipments. Communicate effectively with customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays. Collaborate with warehouse staff to ensure timely loading and unloading of goods. Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while driving. Experience Previous experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role is preferred. Mechanical knowledge is essential for performing basic vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting. Familiarity with industrial equipment is a plus, especially in handling specialized deliveries. Experience in funeral directing may be beneficial for those delivering sensitive items or services. Ability to perform heavy lifting as required during loading and unloading processes.
