Duties Safely operate various delivery vehicles, including box trucks, vans, and personal vehicles, adhering strictly to traffic regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards. Load and unload deliveries using manual handling techniques and material handling equipment such as pallet jacks when necessary. Follow optimized route plans using mobile devices to ensure efficient delivery schedules. Deliver orders promptly to customers' homes or businesses while providing friendly and professional customer service. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including signatures and delivery confirmations. Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after shifts to ensure safety and compliance with all regulations. Assist with warehouse operations when not on delivery routes, including moving inventory or supplies as needed. Skills Proven experience in delivery driving, warehouse operations, or commercial truck driving with a strong understanding of manual transmission vehicles. Ability to handle heavy lifting safely and perform manual handling tasks efficiently. Familiarity with warehouse experience, material handling equipment operation, and moving supplies or inventory. Excellent driving skills with a clean record and adherence to traffic laws and DOT regulations. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally. Comfortable using mobile devices for route navigation and delivery documentation. Knowledge of weight handling in the workplace, safe lifting practices, and load & unload procedures for various delivery methods.
