Full Time, Non-Exempt Job Summary:

This position is responsible for the essential transportation of medical and recreational cannabis and throughout intrastate Michigan. The Delivery Driver

• Secure Transportation is responsible for: ensuring timely and safe delivery of customer products.

Given the extensive compliance requirements associated with the cannabis market, attention to detail is paramount. The driver will be equipped with a designated route guide and must adhere to it at all times.

State of Michigan Key Responsibilities:

Product and Cash Handling:

Safely transport cannabis products and cash, ensuring secure delivery.

Compliance Adherence:

Follow all regulatory guidelines and company policies related to cannabis transportation.

Route Management:

Stick to the designated route guide/manifest at all times.

Customer Interaction:

When required to interface with customers professionally, CDL drivers must maintain a clean-cut appearance.

Communication:

Maintain positive, friendly, and professional communications with customers, co-workers, and management through various means (in person, phone, writing, electronic).

Vehicle Operation:

Follow all FMCSA safety guidelines. Safely operate the vehicle in various traffic, road, weather, and daylight conditions.

Documentation:

Use handheld electronic devices to scan and track currency shipments, determine vehicle routes, complete documentation, and update records.

Maintenance:

Keep the vehicle, equipment, and facility clean and in operational readiness condition.

Additional Duties:

Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Concealed Pistol License required
• Attention to detail
• Professional appearance
• Clean driving record
• Clean criminal record
• Flexibility
• Excellent organizational skills
• Military/Law Enforcement background is a plus (but not required)
• 1+ years of security experience
• 1-2+ years driving straight trucks and box trucks.
• Working knowledge of navigation tools such as GPS, smartphone apps, web-based or physical maps
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and 75 pounds occasionally
• Trustworthiness and integrity

Additional Requirements:

• Must have a valid chauffer's license or higher
• Must have a valid Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT Med Card)
• Must be 21 years of age or older
• Per CRA guidelines, while employed at a secure transport business, you cannot be employed at another licensed cannabis facility.
