Part-time Truck Driver

Job Description

Part-time Truck Driver Primary Duty:

The Truck Driver ensures timely and safe delivery of all MariCorp U.S. product across the country.

Status:

At-will employee, full-time, non-exempt

Supervision:

Supervision is by the Logistics Manager.

Conditions of Employment:

Successful candidates must pass a criminal background check. Candidate must meet the requirements of the full job description throughout the duration of employment with MariCorp U.S. and must follow all policies outlined in the employee handbook.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Drive long distances to deliver products to jobsites, or vendor locations. 2. Load and unload product. 3. Performs maintenance as needed to fleet vehicles and trailers. 4. Follows all traffic laws. 5. Perform pre-trip inspections of all equipment and record any issues. 6. Maintains proper logbooks. 7. Plans routes to deliver product on time. 8. Maintain a positive attitude with customers. 9. Keep commercial diver license up to date. 10.Abides by DOT laws. 11.Performs other duties, as required by the company.

Other Important Functions:

1. Attend workshops, seminars, and conferences for professional development as necessary. 2. Attends and/or participates in company training. 3. Interacts well with all levels of staff and management. 4. Improve operational efficiencies. 5. Performs related administrative work as required.

Travel:

75%-100% of work involves out-of-town travel.

Technical Experience:

Experience operating an OTR vehicle is required.

Required Education and Certifications:

1. Position requires a High School Diploma or equivalent. Equivalent experience, education, and training may be considered as a diploma substitute. 2. Class A CDL or commercial driver license. 3. DOT requires medical certificate. 4. Operating a motor vehicle while on company business, job incumbents must possess current Motor Vehicle Operator's License and maintain proper personal insurance coverage. Must be forklift certified.

Seeing :

Must be able to see well enough to see computer screens and read documents and measurements. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus. Must have 20/20 vision (with or without correction).

Hearing :

Must be able to hear well enough to communicate with vendors, customers, and other employees.

Sitting :

Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.

Standing/Walking :

Must be able to move about office.

Climbing/Stooping/Kneeling :

Must be able to stoop or kneel to pick up paper products and construction materials.

Lifting/Pulling/Pushing :

Lifts, pulls, pushes, sorts, and carry supplies and equipment up to 75 lbs. or more.

Grasping/Feeling :

Must be able to grasp and use office, computer, and construction equipment, including calculator, keyboard, and power tools.

Work Environment:

Primary work locations are driving on various roads, interstates, and other routes. Work hours vary. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderately high due to the operation of heavy equipment. Pay:
