Job Description

Performance Food Group is seeking a reliable Delivery Driver to safely transport food and beverage products to restaurants, schools, healthcare, and retail customers. Based within our Transportation & Logistics team, this role loads, delivers, and unloads products, verifies orders, and provides excellent customer service at each stop. Drivers follow all DOT and food safety standards while maintaining accurate logs and vehicle inspections. At PFG, you'll work in a safety-first, teamwork-oriented culture with opportunities to grow across logistics, sales, and supply chain operations. Responsibilities Safely operate company delivery vehicles to transport food and beverage products to assigned customer locations Load, unload, and verify orders against delivery documents, ensuring product accuracy and quality Follow all DOT, company, and food safety regulations, including temperature control and product handling standards Provide professional, courteous customer service at each stop, resolving basic delivery issues on site Complete required logs, manifests, and electronic delivery records accurately and on time Inspect vehicles before and after routes, reporting maintenance or safety issues promptly Coordinate with dispatch and warehouse teams to manage route changes, delays, and product returns Maintain a clean, organized truck and adhere to Performance Food Group safety and performance standards Required Skills Commercial vehicle operation Route navigation and planning Order verification and documentation Basic vehicle inspection and maintenance checks Customer service in B2 B environments Food safety and product handling Use of pallet jacks, hand trucks, and lift gates Electronic logging and handheld delivery systems Time management on multi-stop routes Knowledge of DOT and safety regulations
