Job Description
Join Our Team Valley Farmers Supply is seeking a high energy/customer service driven candidate to join our team in Worden MT. This Position combines propane service installation work with delivery responsibilities as needed. We are looking for a candidate who is dependable, safety-focused, with a positive attitude, strong work ethic and excellent customer service skills. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work independently while managing multiple responsibilities. This candidate takes initiative, identifies opportunities to help customers and improve operations.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform propane service work, including tank installations, system inspections, and pressure/leak checks
- Safely Operate propane delivery vehicles and make deliveries as needed
- Provide exceptional customer service while maintaining a professional attitude at customer locations
- Complete required safety inspections
- Properly document and complete paperwork daily
- Adhere to all company policies and applicable DOT and propane industry regulations
- Work collaboratively with team members while also operating independently
- Maintain equipment and vehicles in a safe and clean condition
QUALIFICATIONS
Required- Experience with propane systems, including tank installations and pressure/leak checks
- Previous experience operating commercial vehicles with a DOT regulated employer preferred
- High School diploma or equivalent, or a combination of education, training and experience that demonstrates the required knowledge and abilities
- Valid Class A or Class B commercial drivers license (CDL)
- Tanker and Haz Mat endorsement, or the ability to obtain upon hiring
- PERC Education Program (PEP) certifications as needed for installation requirements laid out in NFPA 58 and NFPA 54 guidelines
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational, problem solving, and multi-tasking abilities
- Proven record of safety, dependability, and reliability
- Team oriented with a helpful, positive attitude
- Proven willingness to work extended hours, weekends, and participate in and on call rotation as needed
PHYSICAL REQUIRMENTS
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time
- Frequent bend, stoop, kneel, and perform physical tasks
- Ability to lift, carry, and load up to 75 pounds
SCHEDULE
- Full time, hourly position
- Monday-Friday with on call as necessary
- Hours vary and will often include evening and weekends based on customer/company needs
- Union position represented by Teamsters Local 190 PAY & BENEFITS
