AM What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and/or authorized individuals by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a government corrections location. Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established post orders and reporting requirements. Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, perimeter areas, access points, and parking areas to help deter unauthorized activity. Monitor and control access to restricted areas, verify credentials and authorization, and document visitor, contractor, and delivery activity in accordance with site procedures. Maintain accurate logs and incident reports, communicate observations to appropriate personnel, and follow protocols for weapons handling and use of force.

Minimum Requirements:

Possess an armed guard card or license. Have at least 6 months of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience. A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
