Duties Safely operate various types of vehicles, including commercial trucks and automobiles, adhering strictly to DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and safe lifting practices. Plan and follow efficient delivery routes, optimizing time and fuel usage while ensuring timely arrivals. Load, unload, and secure merchandise with proper heavy lifting techniques, ensuring product integrity during transit. Engage with customers professionally, building rapport through clear communication and excellent customer service skills. Upsell additional products or services when appropriate, leveraging retail store experience to enhance sales opportunities. Maintain accurate delivery logs, route documentation, and compliance records in accordance with organizational standards. Conduct merchandising activities at delivery sites to support retail store presentation standards. Requirements Proven experience in commercial driving, route driving, or automobile transportation roles; familiarity with commercial truck driving is a plus. Strong math skills for pricing calculations, inventory management, and transaction handling. Excellent communication skills for client interaction and internal coordination. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while following proper lifting practices. Knowledge of DOT regulations governing commercial vehicle operation and safety standards. Retail store experience or background in merchandising is preferred for understanding product placement and presentation. Organizational skills to manage multiple deliveries efficiently while maintaining accuracy. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; experience in customer relationship building is highly valued.
