Responsibilities Safely operate a stepvan in compliance with DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and company policies. Load, unload, and secure packages using manual handling techniques, pallet jacks, or forklifts as needed. Drive predetermined routes efficiently while adhering to traffic laws and safety standards. Provide outstanding customer service by delivering packages directly to customers' doorsteps with professionalism and courtesy. Follow safe lifting practices when handling heavy or bulky items to prevent injury and ensure workplace safety. Maintain accurate delivery logs, route documentation, and delivery confirmation records. Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding delivery status or any issues encountered during routes. Requirements Proven experience as a DOT delivery driver or courier, preferably with warehouse experience or commercial driving background. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; experience driving manual transmission vehicles is a plus. Knowledge of DOT regulations related to commercial driving and weight handling in the workplace. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely, including manual handling of packages and equipment like pallet jacks or forklifts. Strong customer service skills with a friendly, professional attitude. Comfortable driving route-driven vehicles such as box trucks in various weather conditions. Physical stamina to move, load, unload, and deliver packages throughout the shift.
