Responsibilities Safely operate various types of vehicles including commercial trucks and automobiles, adhering strictly to DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and safe lifting practices. Plan and follow efficient delivery routes, ensuring timely arrivals while managing multiple stops throughout your shift. Load and unload merchandise with proper heavy lifting techniques, ensuring safety and accuracy during transportation. Communicate clearly with clients upon delivery, address any questions or concerns, and build strong customer relationships through excellent service. Conduct routine vehicle inspections, report maintenance needs, and ensure all transportation equipment is in top condition. Upsell additional products or services when appropriate, enhancing sales opportunities during deliveries. Maintain accurate delivery logs, route documentation, and inventory records with organizational precision. Experience Proven experience in commercial driving or automobile transportation, with a solid understanding of route driving and delivery procedures. Familiarity with retail store operations or merchandising is a plus, along with experience in customer service roles. Knowledge of pricing strategies and basic math skills for handling transactions or calculations on the spot. Strong communication skills for client interaction and team coordination. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and follow organizational procedures diligently. Valid driver's license suitable for commercial truck driving or equivalent automobile operation credentials.
