Warehouse Manager / Operations Manager Position Summary We are seeking an experienced and dependable Plumbing Supply Driver to transport plumbing materials, equipment, and supplies from our warehouse/shop to active job sites throughout New Jersey and surrounding areas. This position requires someone who is comfortable operating larger commercial trucks , understands the proper handling and transportation of plumbing materials, and has previous experience working in the plumbing, HVAC, mechanical, or construction industry . The ideal candidate will understand plumbing materials and fittings well enough to recognize what is being loaded and delivered, communicate effectively with field personnel, and ensure that the correct materials arrive safely and on time. Key Responsibilities Safely operate company delivery vehicles, including larger commercial trucks, to transport plumbing supplies and equipment to job sites. Load, secure, transport, and unload plumbing materials safely and efficiently. Deliver pipe, fittings, fixtures, valves, equipment, tools, and other plumbing-related materials to active construction sites. Verify materials and quantities against delivery tickets, purchase orders, or material lists before leaving the warehouse. Confirm deliveries with job-site supervisors, foremen, or other authorized personnel. Maintain accurate delivery paperwork and obtain signatures when required. Pick up materials from plumbing supply houses, vendors, and other locations as directed. Transport materials between the warehouse, office, vendors, and multiple job sites. Assist with loading and unloading using appropriate equipment and safe lifting practices. Properly secure all materials before transport, including oversized or heavy materials. Perform routine pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections. Maintain company vehicles in clean and safe operating condition. Immediately report vehicle issues, accidents, damaged materials, or delivery discrepancies. Follow all company safety procedures and applicable DOT requirements. Maintain regular communication with the warehouse, project managers, and job-site personnel regarding deliveries and scheduling. Assist with warehouse organization and material handling when not making deliveries. Maintain a professional attitude when interacting with employees, vendors, customers, and job-site personnel. Required Qualifications Previous plumbing industry experience is required. Must have working knowledge of common plumbing materials, pipe, fittings, fixtures, valves, and related supplies . Previous experience delivering materials to commercial construction or plumbing job sites strongly preferred. Must possess a valid driver's license with a clean and acceptable driving record . Must possess the appropriate CDL and/or required endorsements for the size, weight, and type of company vehicle being operated . Must meet all applicable DOT and licensing requirements for commercial vehicle operation. Experience safely operating larger trucks and commercial delivery vehicles required. Ability to safely load, secure, and unload heavy and oversized plumbing materials. Ability to read and understand delivery tickets, material lists, purchase orders, and job-site information. Must be dependable, punctual, organized, and able to work independently. Must be comfortable driving to active construction sites throughout New Jersey and surrounding areas. Physical Requirements Ability to regularly lift and carry plumbing supplies, tools, and materials. Ability to safely move and handle long, heavy, or awkward materials such as pipe and equipment. Ability to climb in and out of commercial vehicles throughout the workday. Ability to work outdoors and at active construction sites in varying weather conditions. Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, push, and pull throughout the workday. Preferred Experience Commercial plumbing or mechanical contracting experience. Plumbing supply house or warehouse experience. Construction job-site delivery experience. Forklift and/or material-handling equipment experience. Familiarity with New Jersey roadways and commercial construction sites. What We Are Looking For We are looking for someone who is more than just a driver . Pay:
$26.07 - $31.39 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
