Duties Safely operate various types of vehicles, including commercial trucks, to deliver goods along designated routes while adhering to all DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations. Plan and follow efficient delivery routes, utilizing organizational skills to maximize productivity. Load and unload merchandise with proper lifting techniques, ensuring safe handling of heavy items and merchandise presentation at retail locations. Communicate effectively with clients and team members to confirm delivery details, resolve issues, and build strong customer relationships. Upsell additional products or services when appropriate, enhancing sales opportunities during deliveries. Maintain accurate delivery records, logs, and documentation in compliance with company policies and legal requirements. Conduct routine vehicle inspections and perform basic maintenance checks to ensure safety and reliability on the road. Requirements Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record; experience in commercial truck driving is preferred. Strong knowledge of route driving, traffic laws, and safe lifting practices for heavy lifting tasks. Basic math skills for calculating pricing, measurements, and quantities accurately. Proven ability to communicate clearly and professionally with customers and team members. Retail store experience or familiarity with merchandising is a plus for understanding product placement and presentation. Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple deliveries efficiently throughout the day. Ability to handle physically demanding tasks including heavy lifting while maintaining safety standards. Knowledge of DOT regulations related to commercial transportation is highly desirable.
