Primary Location:

Bloomfield, New Mexico Delivery Driver's Helper

• ALC:

  Must be 21 years or older. Loads, unloads, and moves materials and products from delivery truck by performing the following duties.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 LB. repeatedly for long periods of time.
• Rides inside the cab of a delivery truck and loads and unloads materials onto or from trucks, pallets, trays, racks, and shelves by hand, hand truck, forklift and/or electric pallet jack, as appropriate.
• Reads work order or follows oral instructions to ascertain materials or containers to be moved.
• Loads materials into vehicles to prevent shifting or damage in transit.
• Conveys materials between truck and designated loading and delivery area.
• Arranges products according to prearranged plan or own ideas approved by management.
• Counts and records number of units of materials moved or handled, breakage and spoilage on appropriate sheets.
• Other duties may be assigned by the immediate supervisor or other supervisor at any time.

EDUCATION and/or

EXPERIENCE

• Ability to communicate effectively in one-on-one or small group situations with customers, clients, and other employees.
• Quickly calculate ratios, percentages, and understand graphs or charts.
• Ability to work in fast paced environments with competing priorities.
• Must have a valid drivers license and meet company driver qualifications.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 165 pounds with dolly, hand-truck and other assisted lifts. Drives truck over established route to deliver products by performing the following duties. Drives truck to deliver beverage product to customer's place of business on highway, rural and city street conditions in compliance with federal and state regulations. Works without direct supervision to deliver product on established route. Effectively communicates issues and customer concerns to supervisor. Records sales, buy back, delivery and variance information on daily sales or delivery record. Operates computerized inventory and invoicing system. Operates hand trucks and electric pallet jacks. Collects or picks up empty containers or rejected or unsold merchandise. Conducts and/or supervises truck loading and unloading and secures loads. Issues or obtains customer signature on receipt for pickup or delivery. Performs daily inspection and routine fluid, air, and oil maintenance on truck, maintains vehicle cleanliness. Constructs or assembles display aids from company provided Point of Sale (POS) materials. Wears Company provided safety devices and uniforms as appropriate to comply with safety and standards and procedures. Other duties may be assigned by the immediate supervisor or other supervisor at any time.
