Apply Description Your Future Role:

As a truck driver, you will be responsible for the safe and timely delivery of living goods and hard good materials among the Minden Greenhouse farm and the Moana Nursery retail centers located in Reno/Sparks area. This position supports our Retail and Growing Operations and will be expected to do more than just drive.

Your Specific Job Responsibilities:

Upholds Moana Nursery's strict safety policies Shows up on time ready work Drives long distance to deliver goods to Moana retail stores and customers. Gets the correct products to the correct clients on time Ensures all products are accompanied with shipping documentation Maintains a positive attitude with customers and teammates Loads and unloads cargo Records cargo deliveries Refuels and clean vehicle Inspects truck for mechanical issues relating to safe operation, and basic repair work Follows all traffic laws Reports any incidents or mechanical problems to the Minden farm manager and Fleet manager. Keep driver license up to date. When not driving, assists greenhouse teammates in providing care of the plants, including planting, watering, moving materials around the greenhouse such as containers, soil, fertilizers, etc., and/or perform routine maintenance on and modifications to a variety of greenhouse and nursery equipment; maintain irrigation systems, foggers, etc.

Physical Requirements & Activity:

Applicant must be able to lift 50 lbs. Applicant must be able to stand and bend for periods of time. Applicant must be able to work extra hours when needed

Expertise & Experience Requirements:

• Valid Driver license
• Must have a clean driving record
• Minimum two (2) years of experience
• Minimum Age requirement is 23 years old
• High school diploma
• Ability to safely inspect and operate trucks and equipment
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively as well as maintain a professional collaboration with all teammates

Your Future Work Schedule:

You will have a regular 40-hour work week from Monday to Friday, and the availability to work mandatory overtime when required and on Saturdays during peak season (spring/summer), in addition to being able to start the work shift early in the day when required.

Your Future Salary & Benefits:

The starting rate for this position is $20.00 per hour and increases based on experience, expertise and responsibilities. Other benefits for this role include:
