Part-Time Driver - Adult Day Services United Cerebral Palsy of Long Island Suffolk County, NY Drive with Purpose. Make a Difference Every Day. Are you looking for a part-time position that is more than just driving? Join the team at United Cerebral Palsy Association of Greater Suffolk (UCP Suffolk) and help individuals with developmental disabilities stay connected to their community, programs, and opportunities. We're seeking a reliable, compassionate, and safety-conscious Driver to transport participants to and from our Adult Day Services program and community activities. What You'll Do Safely transport participants to and from day programs and community outings Operate wheelchair-accessible agency vehicles, including lifts and tie-down systems Assist individuals with entering and exiting vehicles safely Ensure the safety and well-being of participants during transportation Complete vehicle inspections, maintain logbooks, and report maintenance concerns Fuel and maintain cleanliness of agency vehicles Communicate professionally with families, residential providers, advocates, and team members Work collaboratively with program staff to support participant needs What We're Looking For Valid New York State Driver's License with a clean driving record High School Diploma or GED preferred Dependable, patient, and caring attitude Strong communication and customer service skills Ability to work with individuals with developmental disabilities Ability to follow agency policies and safety procedures Physical Requirements Ability to assist participants entering and exiting vehicles Frequent standing, walking, bending, and reaching Ability to participate in two-person lifts when necessary Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions Why Join UCP Suffolk?
