Safely operate an assigned company vehicle while complying with all applicable traffic, parking, and safety laws. Complete scheduled deliveries, pickups, transfers, and other assigned routes accurately and on time. Load, secure, and unload products and materials using safe handling practices. Obtain signatures, delivery confirmations, and promptly report any discrepancies. Communicate with the Delivery Manager or designated supervisor regarding delays, route changes, vehicle issues, or delivery concerns. Keep the assigned vehicle clean, organized, and ready for operation. Complete required vehicle inspections and promptly report maintenance needs, accidents, registration issues, or safety concerns. Monitor vehicle inspection and registration, and notify management before expiration dates. Use approved navigation and parking-payment applications when needed to complete assigned routes. Provide professional and respectful service to customers, coworkers, vendors, and members of the public. Perform other job-related duties assigned by the Delivery Manager, Kitchen Management, or Executive Chef.Requirements:
Education and/orWork Experience Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent required. Previous professional driving experience; experience driving in New York City preferred. Valid driver's license and driving record that meets company requirements. Availability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and evenings, based on business needs. Strong attention to detail and ability to complete assignments within established deadlines. Dependable, punctual, and able to adapt to changing delivery priorities.Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand, walk, sit, bend, reach, push, pull, and move throughout the workday. Ability to lift and carry up to 50lbs independently and heavier items with assistance or appropriate equipment. Ability to push and pull carts, hand trucks, and loaded delivery equipment. Ability to perform duties in varying weather and traffic conditions. Ability to safely handle refrigerated, frozen, hot, or temperature-sensitive products, when applicable.
