Overview We are seeking reliable and customer-focused Home Delivered Meals (HDM) Drivers to join our team. The primary responsibility is to deliver nutritious meals to clients in a timely and courteous manner. This role requires a professional driver with excellent route management skills, physical stamina, and a commitment to providing exceptional service. Candidates should have experience with commercial driving, route driving, and handling heavy loads, ensuring that clients receive their meals safely and on schedule. Duties Safely operate personal or commercial vehicles such as box trucks or cars to deliver meals across designated routes. Load and unload deliveries using manual handling techniques and material handling equipment like pallet jacks or forklifts when necessary. Adhere strictly to traffic regulations, DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations, and safe lifting practices during all driving and handling activities. Use mobile devices to navigate routes efficiently, update delivery statuses, and communicate with dispatch teams. Ensure accurate loading, secure transportation of food items, and proper documentation of deliveries. Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers professionally, answering questions politely, and ensuring a positive delivery experience. Maintain vehicle cleanliness and perform routine safety checks to ensure optimal operation throughout your shift. Experience Previous delivery driver experience preferred, especially with courier services or food delivery roles. Familiarity with warehouse operations, including manual handling, moving heavy loads, and operating material handling equipment such as forklifts or pallet jacks. Experience with commercial driving in box trucks or similar vehicles with manual transmission is advantageous. Knowledge of adhering to traffic laws, DOT regulations, and safe lifting practices in a fast-paced environment. Ability to handle weight safely in the workplace while performing load & unload tasks efficiently. Strong communication skills using mobile devices for route navigation and customer interactions. Demonstrated ability to manage route driving independently while maintaining high standards of safety and punctuality.
