Responsibilities Safely operate various vehicles including commercial trucks and automobiles to deliver products efficiently across designated routes. Manage route driving with precision, adhering to all DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and safety protocols. Conduct heavy lifting using safe lifting practices to load and unload merchandise, ensuring proper handling of goods. Communicate clearly with clients upon delivery, building rapport and addressing any questions or concerns professionally. Maintain accurate delivery documentation, including pricing details, invoices, and delivery logs. Upsell additional products or services when appropriate to enhance customer satisfaction and sales performance. Organize merchandise in the vehicle for optimal space utilization and secure transportation of items such as automobiles or retail stock. Follow merchandising standards at retail stores to ensure products are displayed attractively and inventory is well-organized. Demonstrate excellent communication skills to coordinate with dispatch teams, clients, and store personnel effectively. Experience Proven experience in commercial driving or automobile transportation, with a strong understanding of route driving and traffic regulations. Familiarity with retail store environments or merchandising practices is a plus. Prior customer service experience that highlights relationship-building skills and professional communication. Ability to perform basic math accurately for pricing calculations, inventory counts, and route planning. Physical capability for heavy lifting while maintaining safe lifting practices during loading and unloading tasks. Knowledge of DOT regulations is preferred to ensure compliance during all driving activities. Strong organizational skills to manage delivery schedules efficiently and keep detailed records of deliveries and client interactions.
