Dayton Humane & Co. is seeking a dependable and customer-focused Furniture Delivery & Pickup Associate to join our team full-time and support furniture pickups, deliveries, and store operations.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Drive a box truck to various locations to pick up and deliver furniture and other items Assist with loading and unloading furniture and materials in a safe and organized manner Carefully wrap, carry, and transport items to prevent damage Follow instructions from the Facilities Support and Delivery Driver, as well as Store Manager to ensure efficient execution of daily tasks Help maintain cleanliness and organization in the truck, the store, and at job sites Provide friendly and professional customer service during pickups and deliveries. Support general organization and maintenance of inventory and storage areas as needed.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

Driver's License required, CDL preferred Prior experience in moving, furniture delivery, warehouse, retail, customer service, or general labor preferred Strong customer service skills with a friendly, professional, and courteous approach when interacting with customers and donors Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively with coworkers and follow direction Professional and positive attitude when representing Dayton Humane & Co. Ability to safely handle and move furniture and other items weighing up to 75 lbs. throughout the workday Reliable transportation to and from the designated starting location Willingness to work indoors and outdoors in varying conditions Must be punctual, dependable, and committed to completing assigned responsibilities Ability to follow safety procedures, company guidelines, and instructions

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Physically demanding role involving frequent lifting, bending, and moving Indoor and outdoor work in all weather conditions Fast-paced environment with varying daily tasks

Pay:

$17.50 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
