Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a reliable and motivated Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods to various locations while ensuring timely and safe deliveries. This role requires excellent driving skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to customer service. Hours per week may vary, but typical schedule is Tuesday - Saturday (off Sunday and Monday) beginning approximately 9:30 am. Duties Operate delivery vehicles, including box trucks and vans, to transport goods to designated customer homes. Plan and follow efficient routes for timely deliveries while adhering to traffic regulations. Load and unload products using manual handling techniques and equipment such as pallet jacks. Maintain accurate delivery logs and records of items delivered. Communicate effectively with customers and management regarding delivery status and any issues encountered. Provide basic assembly and troubleshooting of customer's items as well as educating customers on the proper use and care of purchases Conduct routine inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition. Ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies during all operations. Skills Proven experience as a Delivery Driver or in a similar role is preferred. Familiarity with warehouse operations and logistics is advantageous. Proficient in driving manual transmission vehicles. Ability to operate pallet jacks and other loading equipment safely. Strong route driving skills with knowledge of local roads and traffic patterns. Excellent time management skills to meet delivery schedules. Strong communication skills for effective interaction with customers and team members. Ability to lift heavy packages (up to 50 lbs) as required.
