In this energetic role, you will be responsible for safely transporting goods, ensuring timely deliveries, and providing exceptional customer service. Duties Safely operate various types of vehicles, including commercial trucks and automobiles, adhering to all DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and safe lifting practices. Plan efficient delivery routes using organizational skills to maximize productivity and meet delivery deadlines. Load and unload merchandise with heavy lifting techniques, ensuring proper handling and safety at all times. Engage with customers professionally, building strong relationships through clear communication and excellent service. Conduct routine vehicle inspections, maintenance checks, and document any issues to ensure safety and compliance. Upsell additional products or services when appropriate, leveraging sales skills to enhance customer satisfaction. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, route logs, and client communications for accountability and reporting purposes. Requirements Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; experience in commercial driving or commercial truck driving is highly preferred. Basic math skills for calculating pricing, measurements, and delivery quantities. Proven experience in driving routes efficiently within retail or similar environments. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while following proper procedures. Knowledge of DOT regulations, automobile transportation standards, and safe lifting practices. Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple deliveries and prioritize tasks effectively.
