Job Overview We are seeking an energetic and dependable Delivery Driver to join our dynamic team! Responsibilities Safely operate various types of delivery vehicles, including commercial trucks, adhering strictly to DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and safe lifting practices. Plan and follow efficient delivery routes, ensuring timely arrivals at multiple customer locations throughout the day. Load, unload, and transport merchandise with careful attention to heavy lifting techniques and automobile transportation safety standards. Communicate professionally with clients upon delivery, building rapport and addressing any questions or concerns they may have. Conduct merchandising activities at retail stores, ensuring products are well-presented and inventory is accurately maintained. Upsell additional products or services when appropriate, leveraging sales skills to enhance customer satisfaction and company revenue. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, route logs, and client interactions to ensure organizational efficiency and compliance with DOT regulations. Qualifications Proven experience in commercial driving, including route driving and automobile transportation. Strong knowledge of driving laws, DOT regulations, and safe lifting practices. Excellent communication skills for client interaction and team coordination. Ability to perform basic math calculations related to pricing, measurements, and inventory management. Prior retail store experience or merchandising background is a plus. Demonstrated organizational skills for managing delivery schedules and documentation. Physical ability to perform heavy lifting tasks safely throughout the workday.
