- Delivery/Pickup Local to join our team.
In this role, you will be responsible for safely transporting goods and materials to various local destinations, ensuring timely deliveries and pickups. Your energetic approach and commitment to excellent customer service will help us maintain our reputation for reliability and professionalism. This position offers an exciting opportunity to be an integral part of our operations, combining driving expertise with manual handling skills to deliver exceptional service every day. Duties Safely operate a flatbed truck for local deliveries and pickups, adhering strictly to traffic regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards. Load, unload, and manually handle packages and materials using appropriate equipment such as forklift, pallet jack and overhead crane. Assist with warehouse operations by moving goods within the facility, utilizing manual handling techniques and material handling equipment when necessary. Provide excellent customer service by communicating professionally with clients during deliveries or pickups, addressing any questions or concerns promptly. Maintain accurate delivery logs, route records, and documentation of all inbound and outbound shipments. Follow safe lifting practices during manual handling tasks involving heavy or bulky items to prevent injury. Qualifications Prior experience in delivery driving is highly preferred. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; experience operating commercial trucks is a plus. Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting and moving items safely and efficiently. Knowledge of traffic laws, DOT regulations, and weight handling protocols in the workplace. Familiarity with mobile devices for route navigation and communication purposes. Experience operating material handling equipment such as overhead cranes, forklifts, and pallet jacks. Strong customer service skills with a positive attitude and professional demeanor.
