Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dependable and safety-focused Residential Heating Oil and Propane Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the safe, timely, and efficient delivery of heating oil and propane to residential customers while providing outstanding customer service. This position requires strict adherence to DOT regulations, company safety policies, and industry standards. Key Responsibilities Safely operate a commercial fuel delivery truck to deliver heating oil and propane to residential customers. Load, transport, and unload fuel products in accordance with all safety regulations. Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and complete required documentation. Accurately record deliveries using handheld devices or delivery software. Conduct basic inspections of tanks, fill pipes, regulators, and related equipment during deliveries. Respond professionally to customer questions and report service concerns to dispatch or management. Maintain compliance with DOT, OSHA, EPA, NFPA, and company safety requirements. Collect payments or obtain customer signatures when required. Keep delivery vehicles clean and report maintenance or mechanical issues promptly. Assist with emergency deliveries and participate in on-call or after-hours rotations during peak heating season, as needed. Qualifications Minimum of 2 years of commercial driving experience; fuel delivery experience preferred. High school diploma or GED preferred. Valid CDL Class B driver's license with Tanker (N) and Hazmat (H) endorsements (or X endorsement). Clean driving record and ability to meet DOT physical and drug testing requirements. Strong commitment to safety and customer service. Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to use electronic delivery systems. Excellent communication and time management skills. Physical Requirements Ability to lift, carry, and move up to 75 pounds. Ability to climb, bend, kneel, and work in varying weather conditions. Ability to pull and handle heavy fuel hoses throughout the workday. Ability to work extended hours, weekends, and holidays during peak heating season when necessary. Preferred Qualifications Prior residential heating oil or propane delivery experience. CETP (Certified Employee Training Program) certification or willingness to obtain certification. Work Environment:
This position involves working outdoors in all weather conditions while safely operating commercial delivery vehicles and interacting with residential customers throughout the service area.
Pay:
$30.00 - $32.00 per hour Expected hours: No less than 40.0 per week
