Job Description

Position Summary We are seeking a dependable, compassionate, and organized Delivery Driver to support our educational and student support programs by delivering meals, educational materials, school supplies, and other essential resources to students, families, schools, and community partners. This position plays a vital role in ensuring that our services reach those who need them in a timely, safe, and professional manner. The ideal candidate is reliable, customer-service oriented, and committed to supporting educational success through community outreach. Key Responsibilities Safely transport and deliver prepared meals, groceries, educational materials, tutoring supplies, technology, and other program resources. Load, unload, organize, and secure deliveries to prevent damage during transport. Follow daily delivery schedules and optimize routes to ensure timely service. Verify delivery contents and obtain signatures or delivery confirmations when required. Maintain accurate delivery logs and complete required documentation. Communicate professionally with students, families, schools, and community partners. Report delivery issues, delays, vehicle concerns, or client needs to supervisors promptly. Assist with preparing deliveries, packaging supplies, and organizing inventory when not on delivery routes. Maintain cleanliness and routine inspections of assigned vehicle(s). Follow all traffic laws, organizational policies, and safety procedures. Support special events, educational programs, food distributions, and community outreach initiatives as needed. Protect the confidentiality and privacy of all students and families served. Qualifications Required High school diploma or equivalent. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Ability to pass a background check. Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Excellent time management and organizational skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Reliable transportation to and from work. Preferred Previous delivery, transportation, logistics, or customer service experience. Experience working with nonprofit organizations, schools, or community programs. CPR/First Aid certification (preferred but not required). Familiarity with GPS navigation and route planning applications. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Strong commitment to serving children, families, and the community. Professional and courteous demeanor. Ability to maintain confidentiality. Attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to adapt to changing schedules and priorities. Dependable attendance and punctuality. Problem-solving skills and sound judgment. Physical Requirements Frequently lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds. Stand, bend, reach, and walk for extended periods. Safely enter and exit delivery vehicles multiple times throughout the day. Work in varying weather conditions. Work Schedule Full-Time or Part-Time Monday-Friday (occasional evenings or weekends for special events) Flexible scheduling may be available.
