Job Description

Join C&L Ward as a Warehouse & Delivery Driver and help keep our projects moving! We're looking for a dependable, safety-minded individual who enjoys staying active, staying organized, and working as part of a team. You'll prepare materials, load and unload deliveries, and ensure our crews receive the right materials safely and on time. This is an ideal role for someone who enjoys variety in their day, as this is a hybrid position combining hands-on warehouse responsibilities and CDL B delivery driving.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for the delivery vehicle, which includes performing a vehicle inspection every morning using the vehicle checklist Providing safe and efficient transportation of materials to and from job sites; documenting daily mileage of vehicle and scheduling preventative maintenance Accurately load delivery trucks using a double check method and secure to avoid damage Delivery and pick up of building materials on residential jobsites within our service area (Southeast Michigan) Work is normally performed by driving a delivery vehicle to and from job sites with some work performed in our warehouse Work involves moderate exposure to unusual elements, such as moderately hot or cold temperatures, dirt, dust, and/or loud noises Considerable physical activity that requires heavy physical work; heavy lifting, pushing, carrying, or pulling objects weighing 45lbs or more. Physical work is a primary part (more than 60%) of the job Work environment involves some exposure to hazards or physical risks, which require following basic safety precautions
Requirements:
Valid CDL Class B driver's license Valid DOT Medical Card Clean and approved driving record Ability to pass a background check (required for employment) Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
