Duties Safely operate commercial vehicles, including trucks and automobiles, adhering to all DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and safety protocols. Plan efficient delivery routes using organizational skills and route driving knowledge to maximize productivity. Load, unload, and secure merchandise with safe lifting practices, ensuring proper handling of heavy items. Communicate professionally with clients upon delivery, building strong customer relationships through excellent service. Conduct routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure optimal performance and safety. Upsell additional products or services when appropriate, leveraging sales skills to enhance customer satisfaction. Maintain accurate delivery logs, route documentation, and inventory records for accountability and reporting purposes. Qualifications Proven experience in commercial driving or automobile transportation; retail store experience is a plus. Strong math skills for pricing calculations, basic math tasks, and route planning. Excellent communication skills for client interaction and team coordination. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while following proper lifting practices. Knowledge of DOT regulations and compliance standards related to commercial truck driving. Demonstrated organizational skills for route management and delivery scheduling. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; experience in route driving preferred.
