Full Job Description Responsibilities:
- Safely and efficiently operate a delivery vehicle to transport goods to customers
- Load and unload products from the vehicle using appropriate equipment, such as forklifts or pallet jacks
- Plan and follow the most efficient routes for timely deliveries
- Ensure all necessary paperwork, such as delivery logs and invoices, are completed accurately
- Provide excellent customer service by delivering products in a professional and courteous manner
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance, including checking oil, tires, and brakes
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving
Experience:
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and procedures
- Knowledge of commercial driving regulations and safety standards
- Ability to operate various types of delivery vehicles, including tractor-trailers and refrigerated trailers
- Proficient in using GPS devices and route optimization software
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
