Spec's Wines, Spirits and Finer Foods is in search of dynamic, energetic; guest focused candidates to provided exceptional service to our on premise customers at our San Marcos On Premise Distribution Warehouse. These positions require you to be reliable and able to work in a fast paced environment with constant movement, dolling merchandise, lifting heavy cases and standing for long periods of time. You must come to work as scheduled.

Positions Include:

Route Driver Monday to Saturday Route departure (shift start) times can vary based upon customer mix and delivery window requirements.

DELIVERY DRIVERS

Rate of Pay:

$16 p/h Our Drivers will deliver Orders to local Restaurants, Bars, Pubs, Hotels, etc... Certified forklift operators a plus but not required. A CDL is not required but experience with local route delivery a plus. Our delivery drivers load and unload our own trucks, loading and unloading merchandise for and upon delivery. Must be customer orientated and have good communication skills. All candidates must be able to lift, push, pull and dolly merchandise, must be 21 or older and have a valid TX Drivers License. When the route driver is not out on a delivery, they will assist in a warehouse associate role.

Our ideal candidate should:

Have a Valid Texas driver's license (CDL is not necessary) Have the ability to operate delivery vehicle in a variety of weather and traffic conditions Be able to work in non-climate-controlled warehouse Be able to work in the elements Have excellent organizational and time management skills Have the ability to use pallet jack, carts and dollies Be able to lift and carry heavy items Be able to climb ladders Should have a Flexible schedule Be able to dolly merchandise Be able to work in a fast-paced setting Be able to dolly, push, pull and lift heavy merchandise Be fast on your feet Have great customer service Be able to lift heavy objects may be up to 100 lbs.

Responsibilities:

• Safely and efficiently operate a route delivery vehicle to deliver products to customers
• Load and unload products from the vehicle using proper lifting and safety techniques
• Follow assigned routes and schedules to ensure timely delivery of products
• Communicate with customers in a professional and courteous manner
• Collect payments from customers, issue receipts, and maintain accurate records
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition
• Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while operating the vehicle
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the delivery vehicle

Experience:

• Previous experience in warehouse, tractor-trailer, or courier driving preferred
• Familiarity with refrigerated trailers is a plus
• Ability to effectively communicate with customers and coworkers
• Experience with loading and unloading products using proper lifting techniques
• Knowledge of commercial driving regulations and safety standards
• Proficiency in operating vehicles with manual transmissions is desired
