Job Description
Utah Valley University is seeking a student to assist the department. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Load packages from the route shelf into the delivery vehicle. Check the Priority Shelf for Priority packages. Get the Scanner and sign in to SQBX (Located on the Charging Dock) Drive to the building location and park alongside the walkway. Never block entry walkways. Deliver packages to the green-labeled location, scan each item, and get a signature. Type in the name of the person signing for the packages. Maintain Fuel and Fluids in Delivery Vehicles. (Oil is to be checked each Friday before starting the Vehicle.) Report any problems with the Delivery vehicle to your supervisor. Other Duties AS Assigned. Must be a current UVU student. Must have a valid driver's license and pass the State Driving Test. Must be able to lift up to 100 lbs properly. Must be able to work Monday-Friday for at least a 4-hour block each day—maximum of 28 hrs. per week. Knowledge of package distribution methodology. Ability to operate a range of motor transport vehicles to transport packages. Ability to follow schedules and meet deadlines. Ability to work independently on a multitasking level and prioritize and follow projects through to completion.
