Position Summary The Floral Delivery Driver is responsible for delivering floral arrangements safely, efficiently, and professionally while representing E's Florist & Design Co. with care and courtesy. This role focuses primarily on deliveries, with limited in-shop support tasks directly related to delivery preparation and vehicle organization. Key ResponsibilitiesDelivery Duties Safely deliver floral arrangements, plants, and gift items to homes, businesses, funeral homes, and event venues. Review delivery slips for accuracy before leaving the shop. Handle arrangements with care to prevent damage. Maintain a professional, friendly demeanor at all delivery locations. Obtain delivery confirmations, signatures, or photos as required. Follow mapped delivery routes efficiently and communicate delays immediately. Load and unload items safely to avoid spills, breakage, or injury Return all delivery materials (boxes, crates, tools) to the shop after route completion. Limited In-Shop Support (Delivery-Related Only) Assist with staging and packaging orders for delivery. Organize delivery areas and ensure orders are grouped correctly by route. Keep the delivery vehicle clean, stocked, and organized. Notify management of any delivery-related supply needs or vehicle issues. Customer Service Interact professionally with customers receiving deliveries. Ensure delivery notes (card messages, special instructions) are accurate and attached. Notify the shop immediately of issues such as incorrect addresses, customers not home, or unsafe delivery conditions. Requirements & Qualifications Valid driver's license and clean driving record. Proof of vehicle insurance. Comfortable driving for extended periods daily. Ability to lift and carry up to 20-30 lbs (boxes and various types of arrangements). Ability to enter and exit the delivery vehicle repeatedly throughout the day. Strong communication skills with a friendly, professional attitude. Comfortable using a smartphone for directions, delivery apps, or communication. Reliable transportation to and from work (company vehicle may be provided for deliveries depending on availability). Preferred but Not Required Experience in floral, retail, hospitality, or delivery industries. Familiarity with the Petersburg/Richmond and surrounding area. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Work Environment Fast-paced setting with occasional heavy workloads during holidays and event seasons. Exposure to varying weather conditions.
