Job Overview We are seeking an energetic and dependable Delivery Driver to join our dynamic team! Responsibilities Safely operate various types of vehicles, including commercial trucks and automobiles, following all DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and safe lifting practices. Deliver products efficiently along designated routes, managing time effectively to meet delivery schedules. Assist with loading and unloading merchandise, demonstrating heavy lifting techniques and proper handling procedures. Build positive relationships with clients through professional communication, addressing their needs and providing excellent customer service. Upsell additional products or services when appropriate, enhancing customer satisfaction and sales performance. Maintain accurate delivery records, route logs, and documentation in compliance with organizational standards. Conduct routine vehicle inspections to ensure safety and proper functioning before each shift. Experience Proven experience in commercial driving or route driving, preferably within retail or distribution environments. Strong knowledge of pricing strategies, merchandising techniques, and basic math skills for accurate transactions. Familiarity with automobile transportation, heavy lifting, and safe lifting practices is highly desirable. Excellent communication skills for client interaction and team coordination. Prior retail store experience or customer relationship building background is a plus. Knowledge of DOT regulations, sales techniques, and organizational skills necessary for efficient route management.
